Hi guys just saw this on the Radio Times site listed for Dec 5th!
Tiff Needell sets out to see whether it's possible to drive along the A537 from Macclesfield to Buxton safely, and aims to enjoy it by taking the first Porsche Cayman in the country.
Lets hope he is a bit more positve than JC

a carunfortunatley it will still be biased, just the other way - as Tiff has a thing for 911's and has owned about 10...
and we can look forward to pointless 'arty' shots - the same clip played again and again...
not to mention tiff going sideways...
But im not expecting to find out anything about the car, except maybe its name...

I also remember Tiff raving about a 944 turbo he had when they were new.
He should give the Kman a fair crack, although I still think Porsche pricing is rich. Take off the Boxter's very expensive roof, replace it with a steel one, throw in a 996 top-end and then charge £6k extra? Surely a triumph of wishful thinking over market reality....

It fits far too well between the boxster and 911 - it was a car developed to fill a gap, not to be a sportscar...
That's the only thing he was right about, the gap thing comment.
Everything developed to some sort of agenda, usually cost or to fill a gap or something with modern cars. So weather it fills the gap on not doesn’t make it any less desirable to me and most people I would have thought
It’s only when you get cars like Zonda’s Carrera GT’s the designers run wild with the innovation and budget. Plus it's based on the Boxster which is a sports car already, so you've got a Boxster with more performance, power and stiffer setup.
Sounds like a sports car to me.

Went to the launch at Guildford on Thursday, what a stunning little car -superb attention to detail, and it, er, looks quite nice!!!
The £43K base price soon rockets to £50K with extras on the Cobalt Blue one I was looking at.
Star of the show that evening was still David Piper's just refurbished 917 though.......

Got my Cayman today, and it's absolutley fabulous - done 200 miles already !
It's a more focused car than the 997 C2S I had before, loads more fun - the steering is delicious.

Another day of driving for the hell of it and I love it even more, 400 miles now ! It feels such a complete car, loads of interior space (Assuming you don't need the rear ones a 911 offers which I don't), endlessly chuckable, delicious steering, over 5000 RPM the exhaust note changes and Variocam Plus comes into it's own - It has far exceeded my expectations as the 911 was superb - but feels like a boulevard cruiser compared the this....
As you have probably gathered, I am over the moon.
