100 cell cats - best place to source?
Discussion
BM catalysts in Mansfield don't list your model specifically, but do have 100 cell cats in and will make a cat up to your pattern, so well worth a try?

If you w3ant already built cats, you'll need to get them from someone like Cargraphic, Techart, FVD, or similar.
I know Tech9 in Liverpool are Techart distributors ( www.tch9.ms ) and FVD are on www.fvd.de (you can view the site in English, it's pretty good).
Alternatively try somewhere like Design911 (i think they are www.design911.co.uk )
Hope this helps.

Colin, also try Blackthorn cats...

I've recently sold my Impreza Type-R which had a custom downpipe on it; my friend who owned the car before me had a Blackthorn motorsport cat integrated into a Scoobysport (plain) downpipe....worked really well; in fact, the guy who bought it had previously owned a STi-3 Type-R (mine was an STi-5) and said the engine picked up sooo much quicker than any other (sane) Type R he'd driven (and it had a standard turbo), the only thing we could attribute it to was the decent cat...everything else was stock.
Hope this helps...

Cats (and downpipes) on a turbo car (as opposed to a NA RS) are a different issue though right? Backpressure is all-important.
Yeah, indeed....not suggesting using the *same* cat, just trying to say that the brand in general seemed to deliver the goods in my particular application

I'd speak to Colin at 9M before going to the expense of 100 cell cats. Colin ran his 993 Clubsport with the Cargraphic cats and silencers, and was of the opinion they made little or no difference to the power output.
Not quite right, but close.
My previous comments actually applied to the use of the aftermarket equal length headers (exhaust manifolds) of which I am not a big fan, to the point that I am still running standard 993 heat exchangers on my 415bhp RSR. The cats are a different matter, you will need to replace the standard items to make serious power gains.
