Dead Battery on 993 - OK to jump start??

Haven't driven the car for a week, just went to take it out, and battery is dead. Am I ok to jump start the car, or is it not a good idea on 993's (for any reason??)

I did my 964 scores of times and the battery has just died on my 993 so I had to this this a bit over recent weeks.

No reason why not but always connect the positive jump lead first - it's only a car after all!!

if you are going to jump start any car with a ecu use a spike protection unit.they are cheep and easy to use.and you will get one at any good car spares shop. ive seen 4 ecu blown this year in our workshop.due to jump starting just a though

Better idea is to allow 1 week, but anything more plan a charge first. If your 993 habitually dies over a week, its either high current drain (typically aftermarket alarms / low fi ) or a decrepit battery. If you try to start your car on a low battery, it will quickly fall into the latter category ... so go back to go !
