on porsche website. anyone know the history of this one? was it one of the titanic boys cars?

Rob, it depends why you sold the GT2 imho.

If you want something thats (in)decently quick, and flatters even incompetent drivers like me its great! Its not that hard to feel like a complete hero hanging its arse out whilst still making good progress on track. The engine is a peach, with lightning throttle response, decent torque given the lack of forced induction and a lovely high rev limit. It also sounds great at full chat. Nor have I had any noise flaggings at Bedford unlike others with stock exhausts on CSLs etc. The steering is incredibly articulate - tonnes of information is relayed back.

Obviously its not as suited to road usage as a 996 TT etc, but if this is a weekend toy I don't see how any enthusiast could go wrong.

I have absolutely no regrets going from my Noble to the RS, and not to a GT2. I'm certain I made the right choice for my needs - I just love the power delivery of NA. It inspires confidence where the ballsout torque of a turbo didn't, and yet it still has more than enough power to unstick the back wheels if you want to be a hooligan.

but can't go back, seems pointless. i do tend to agree with your points regarding n/a engines. that's another reason to move on i feel. thanks for the comments. appreciated.

In a word.. yes.!

If you have owned one of the ultimate 911s, being the GT2..
The only way forward, is to get the most ultimate 911.. a GT3 RS.

I have chopped and changed so many times, and after selling my last GT3, missed it almost from day 1.

The fact that I was able to move back into an RS, made me realise what a complete motoring tool it is.

But my basis of automotive contentment, lies in a vehicle's track ability.. the RS is currently second to none..
