So, for my next stupid question.

How do you make the rear wash wipe work on a 993?

It's just a wipe, no wash. Switch is in the centre console.

Thanks pp.

I didn't get a drivers manual with my car, only the service book, a leather wallet, user guide for the stereo etc.

Presumably there should have been a user guide for the car originally?

Any suggestions about where to get one would be appreciated. Porsche breakers yard perhaps?

If I had one, I might be able to work out the heater controls.

The temperature seems to be on a dial, so what do the two horizontal slider things do?

And then there are the 4 buttons (2 on each side). One definitely does the windscreen but the ones with the snowflakes don't produce any snow at all!

Is this one? It doesn't look like a 996 one so I assume it's for a 993. If it isn't, they do come on here quite often. Good luck.

Note the top bidder!

Darn, I want one too, as mine is in German, but honour prevents me bidding ...

PS I think type911 sell them for about £25.

Or get in contact with www.gmundcollection.co.uk he carries loads of user manuals, or should that be owners manuals?

Mine was £20.

Tertius - yes thank you for your gentelmanly conduct re MY drivers manual, that was spotted for ME.

VS on the other hand had steamed in with his bid faster than a speeding bullet.

That's the thing with tt owners. In fact that's probably how they become so successful that they can afford a tt in the first place.

Actually, I take it all back VS!!!

I've just realised that you are probably trying to win this driver's manual so you can give it to ME for christmas.

What a top fellow you are sir, top fellow indeed.

Trebles all round.
