cyberface, james s, ninemeister Not sure but i think your figures may be a little optimistic for just a 'charger and intercooler. Be very careful checking your insurance out too - many companies just won't touch it, and those that will may charge ££££ for it.
I wanted to do this too, but worked out it was cheaper to simply sell my C2 and buy a TT, so i did. Insurance went up £40 a year!
I had one on my C4S. Did everything it promosed, though it was so smooth it never felt as powerful as it was proven to be on the dyno.
It does change thecharacter orf the engine and I look mine off in the end, but its not becuase I was unhappy, I just wanted it stock. The only thing I didn't like was that the engine felt less free reveing - though perhapps this could have been resolved and may have been nothing to do with the charger.
The chap who cought mine had it put on in Warrington and is delighted with the results. The numbers are simply staggering - though he is running a couple of non stock items in the exhaust department.
You probably need to drive one to satisfy yourself, but if you like the character they are the real deal.
Mine sold for £2.5k secod hand and I had 5 people interested to give you a view on second hand prices

I have the ninemeister kit on mine, and absolutely love it. The increase in lower-rev-range torque makes the car much nicer to drive on road, and I don't feel any lack of revvability on mine like James S did.
You won't get 380-400 bhp without an intercooler and higher boost though. Mine was around 330 bhp IIRC on 9m's rolling road, the basic kit runs without an intercooler and is noticeably faster in winter
You also get the benefit of big torque like with the TT, but without the 4wd. This is either a good or bad thing, depending on how sideways you like it
