What's a boxter like to drive??
Discussion
Just had a 3000-mile old Boxter for 2 weeks while my TVR was being fixed. It certainly rode very well, and had huge levels of grip, that the 2.7 motor simply didnt have the grunt to break.
It made a lovely noise, but wasnt very fast. Usefully quick, I'd say. (However, when you're used to 5 litres of TVR, not much feels quick...risky thing to say on a Porker forum, I know...)
Most disappointing was the brake feel - very spongy. But certainly, they stopped you just fine.
Overall impression was of a nicely-screwed together, classy act, but not enough va va voom for the real driver.
I'd love to have had an "S".
