...but I've got to wait until the 6th of Jan to get her

(I'm having a new engine built for her first!!!)

(Sorry if the quality ain't great, these are off my phone. I've got a few more pictures on a digital camera, but keep forgetting to download them).

Hmmm 4.7l V8

Oh, and no rust (unlike my Jag which is off to the big scrapyard in the sky).

I can hardly wait!!!

This will be the first time I've owned a non-british (or british-built) car. And to be honest, for a '81 car, she's in very good condition. Jags of a similar age are usually rotten/rotting unless extremely well cared for. She's been sitting in a yard for 11 months and other than some dirt, doesn't show that fact!

Actually almost! Paul Anderson's main business is breaking 928s for spares. This was one he thought too good and too rare to break, so restored.

LB pub meet to be arranged for 3rd or 4th week in Jan. Once I've got the car, I'll be leaving it at Luton Airport for a week (damn work!!).

Otherwise, I'm sure we can arrange something with your Viper

Nice wheels.......has Oggsie seen it yet?

Seriously though, cant wait to get a ride in it. Dont forget, it wont overtake as fast as a TVR, just allow yourself a little more room.

You mean, watch out for oncoming Laguna(s) when overtaking minis?

Oggs is now worried he has the slowest car at the LB meets

Congratulations

This may seem strange but ..... buy another one to use for spares, its the cheapest way of maintaining and being able to locate parts

I think you will find it was a SAAB. Shows how much attention you were paying.

I'll review the video evidence later. At the time, I was too busy adopting the "brace" position to take in all of the details.

Anyway, six days to go (and counting)........

Two days and counting

Not been this excited about buying a car, ever. New engine is in, and the car has passed an MOT.

Roll on Friday!!!
