996TT Torque Tube Rattle

Hi -
I have a 996tt which I is great. One thing I have noticed about it that I certainly have not experienced in any other 911 I have owned is that when in a high gear at low speeds (lets face it you can be lazy and drive all day like this) I get an annoying rattle/noise. Sure if you drop a couple of gears and the revs rise the rattle goes away.
I returned to my OPC where an engineer came out with me. To be fair the engineer said that to an extent all 996tt make that noise to a lesser or greater degree. The engineer suggested it is not the noisiest one he has heard but it is close. If I found it too much they would have the car in and replace the front diff and torque tube (or at least I think they said that) it is all covered under warranty anyway.
My question is to you fine people, Does this sound about right to you? and if so have you guys had this work undertaken/ or do you live with the rattle/noise?

Porsche changed the tolerances in the front diff on the late 03 models onwards and now alot have this rattle. I had my car 1 or 2 days before i took it back and porsche guildford changed the front diff (it was the first one they had come across and initially fault it was faulty)but the new one was just as noisey. Afterwards a tech from porsche GB told the dealership it was as i explained.
They said it should lessen within 10k miles but mine is just as noisey at 13k.
If i were you i would leave the original in rather than have them start stripping the car down.

T urbo - thanks for your advice - To be fair to the OPC they did say that they have done a few and have found that it really has not helped a great deal...so it was up to me whether I wanted it done or not.
I will live with it for now - under the assurance from Porsche UK that at least there is no harm being done.
