What's the Mod to kep the 997 Sport Exhaust Permanently "ON"

Guys,

As per title - I'm sure that I've read a Mod somewhere that allows you to keep the 997 Factory fit PSE on all the time.

Anyone remember/seen it?

Hi,

I have done the Mod myself. Pull the red coloured lead on the right side of the engine bay free - you need to pull the silver catch to release it - sorry for description but its the only red lead in there!

The hack for the PSE on the 997 is to disconnect the electrical connector on the vacuum switch that controls the actuators. This is the brown electrical connector in the picture.

Isn't it enough with just pressing the ON button? Will pick up my 997 S with sports exhaust next week from Porsche.

No the sports exhaust goes quiet at certain rpm for some stupid noise emmision reasons or something.

Yeah - even with it "ON" it goes quiet under certain speeds/revs and conditions! Probably to meet driveby regs.

Also if you have Sports Chrono then only one button operates this and the Sports Exhaust so you have to do the Mod if you just want Sports Exhaust on but you don't want the different throttle response and higher threshold PSM intervention on.
