No longer looking - 3.2 Carrera Coupe.

Still looking guys in case anyone comes across a nice, well looked after one, looking for a good home.
3.2 Carrera Coupe, G50 preferred, RHD with not too stellar a mileage (don't mind just over 100, but would prefer below). Max budget is £15k depending on condition.
I get all the new ad alerts on here and the PCGB forum and I trawl through Auto Trader and the Porsche monthlies. I have also joined the PCGB and just received the first mag.
I'm not expecting the perfect car to simply drop into my lap, but stranger things have happened, and if you never ask... oh, and I don't mind wierd colours, brighter the better but in an ideal world: black, then white then red (if I can't find lemon yellow or lime green
)
I thought I had found the ideal black one yesterday but the owner then decided he didn't want to sell ... and there is another to consider, but it is an '84 when I would prefer a G50.

Before my lovely black Coupe, I had a white Targa and discovered that GPW is far less sought after than the blacks, reds and metallics and therefore GPW cars are cheaper.
I just had a look on the autotrader and nothing really stands out except that this lot have, what looks like, a really top GPW Coupe.
So working on the basis that you should by on condition first and also that you're probably getting a bargain because of the colour, you really ought to consider at least going and having a look.
And FWIW, I reckon that classic Porsches look very nice in white.

Iain - thanks for that. I have been looking at that GPW car that Marcus has for a while and have emailed him and have interior pics. From the photos it does not look the car for me I'm afraid. If it had a really clean black interior then yes, but not this one unfortunately.

No problem - I have to admit that a blue interior is a bit grim, my Targa was black.
Burriana - It would appear that we are in search of a similar beast, as I have just (almost) decided to replace my current 944 Turbo with a 3.2 Carrera. My personal preference colour-wise is red, then white. So if I come across a nice black one I will let you know

The red one at Paul Stephens does look good, apart from the red wheels but they can be repainted. If only it had about 50,000 miles less on then i would be down there like a shot - but 130k is too high for me.

I need to be able to sell the car without too much of a loss in 12 months time and at my budget levels you are looking a lot of the time at first time 911 buyers, and whether it is justified or not, mileage does come into the equation.
However, I do look at every car on it's merits, and a bob on car with 120k miles on at a very attractive price may well be ok.

1) It's LHD...
2) Ruf 3.4 litre engine doing 280bhp... that's just 50bhp up on the 3.2. No magic there when a mildly breathed on 3.6 in a C2 can do 295bhp. Don't be sucked in by the Ruf name. The turbos are awesome but if something needs rebuilding on this engine it could cost a fortune.
3) Ruf 6 speed box sounds interesting but this car will never get close to 191mph in 6th. You'll do the top whack in 5th probably at around 150-155mph. Again, probs if something goes wrong.
4) Not a Ruf front spoiler as per the yellow bird, lools like a normal C2 front PU. That said, he does admit this later in the ad.
5) It's a targa.
6) Hmmm. 30k on rare Ruf bits. That's 30k of difficult to get hold of bits if something goes wrong.
I'd personally stay clear of bitsas like this and get a nice unmolested 3.2 or 964C2. If it was a coupe it may be worth the risk, but...
