....was made by Porsche (and came in Red)!!!!

Picked up my 928S yesterday, and: Oh Christ, that car's quick. More power than your average third-world dictator and more grip than a velcro-lined straight-jacket.

She might be an '81 model, but with a GTS-standard suspension and a newly built 4.7l V8 engine, she not only goes quick, but handles beautifully too. Manual 'box takes some getting used to, but when you hit the right gears, wooooosh, it's into hyperspace and the world blurs around you.

I'm sorry Mr Mondeo, did you want to overtake? <blip throttle> You seem to be receeding behind me. What's wrong <blip throttle> Can't keep up? Shame!

My only regret? That I didn't buy one sooner.

There's a guy who commutes to Sevenoaks station in one, it sounds awesome pulling away from the car park. No idea if it's the standard exhaust, but if so, a louder system must sound beautiful...

I'll take some picture with a "proper" camera later.

As for the noise, the standard system is VERY loud. There's no real need to fit anything else.

Haven't tried the stereo-system yet. Driving with just the Porsche-made soundtrack is music enough for me!

OK, so here's some picture I took earlier. Unfortunately, my digital camera makes the red look a bit orangey!

So you got her in the end then Chris - she looks lovely too

I must say you were like the proverbial pig in the proverbial do-do when i got the train into London with you last week when you were en route to collecting her.

Look forward to seeing the motor at the next LB meet.
