For driving sensibly on the road in wet weather I read somewhere that dropping the tyre pressures on Michelin Pilot Sports a couple of PSI helps a lot. Sounds plausible but anyone know?

Obviously I'd put them back for dry weather but at this time of year that could be a while...

If you're dealing with a damp or slick surface, then dropping them 2-3 psi would help by enlarging the contaact patch.
If, however, you're going through heavy water that is going to be pushed ahead by the leading edge of the contact patch, then you want to raise by 3-4 over normal.
