what changes were made to the 996 turbo when the normally aspirated 996 had a facelift in 2002?

Glove box, new cup holder and improved ventilation from centre vents, new seat belt tensioners, different plastic used for instrument switches, Bose and new PCM.

Perhaps more interesting, not obvious point -
"Extensive reinforcement measures in sill, roof frame and seat pan area increase the flectional and torsional strength by a further 25%."

Do cars with PCM2 signify the latter model change vehicle?
I've seen a 52 plate TT with PCM 1, so am assuming model year 03, is when switch took place.

Correct, MY03 was when they introduced PCM2, but MY02 included a number of enhancements to the original PCM - including faster CD drive, better GPS receiver, gyroscope and more memory.

MY02 was when they introduced BOSE, MY03 was when it was fitted as standard.

must have been an early 52 as most 52s are MY03 and therefore PCM2
