Best tyres for 996 TT

Need to replace all 4 soon, the PZero's (Asymetrico's) have been great, but interested to hear if anyone has any other ideas?
Car will not be tracked, so need a very good wet/dry road tyre.

Michelin Pilot Sport.

Hard wearing. Really good in the wet.

I've had the Pirellis and the Michelins and I prefer them.

If it wasn't for the exorbitant price I could recommened them without reservation. As it is - I advise shopping around.

Micheldever Tyres in Hampshire stock 'em. (Google)

Front and rear are different prices. Average of £200 a pop (ish). New boots all round will probably set you back £800 - £900.

Problem with Michelin is that the PilotSport 2 (much better tyre) is not available N-rated for the 996tt front wheels. Some people fit the larger 235 section tyres but opinions on this differ.

I would have gone with Michelin, but ended up choosing Pirelli again to get N-rating all round...

Try ATS Euromaster,(national company), owned by Michelin. Often have offers on Michelin tyres. I had a set of 18 " Michelin Pilot Sports, N1 rated last Autumn from the Ivybridge Depot near Plymouth , fitted/balanced/valves etc. £640. Worth a 'phone call to your local Depot.

I have spent most of the evening searching for a deal on 4 tyres for my Cayenne S. Tried all the usual suspects (micheldever etc) and you wont believe who is cheapest - by some margin....kwik fit! They have an offer on of "VAT" free if you buy 2 or more pirelli, conti, michelin, or dunlop. 4 x Michelin Diamaris 275x19 is £691 all in.

Not sure I trust those monkeys with the newly re-furbed alloys, but find that if I offer them a £20 "reward" to whoever is fitting they usually stay scratch free !

I've just found this website whist trying to compare prices for tyres. I haven't really checked properly yet (can't remember exact specs of tyres at mo), but on face value they seem cheap...and they come to you.

Have no idea whether they're any good or not? and not sure about balancing, etc, but suppose you could always go to a specialist after to have it done?

What's the membership fee at Costco? It doesn't state it on their website, only fee there is for trade membership.

its £25, i am not joining but my policeman mate is taking me along.

they seem to let anyone join anyway. if you have a professional qualification or work in civil service, insurance, medical, banking etc etc
