Hello all
This may sound petty but my driver's side mat is completely worn through, despite having only covered 5000 'sensible' miles. Porsche will not replace them. I think this really stinks and shows an appalling attitude. I was so mad I nearly cancelled the order for my next car. Fortunately my local OPC said they would pay for new ones. Anyway just thought I would have a quick rant, feel much better now

That is pretty shocking durability.
However I am rather surprised nobody has championed the corner and merits of the 993 and waded in saying (in the voice of an old-timer !!)
"I've had the same mats in my 993 since the age of time and they still look as fresh as the day they were hand-woven thereby illustrating how the quality of 911s has gone downhill over since the introduction of water-cooled engines"

I have been serioulsy looking at buying a Gallardo but I posted a topic on the lambo forum which resulted in an avalanche of comments, and they are still coming. All pretty much condemning build quality and residuals. So in the light of that I can't be too hard on the Porsche boys. I have had three new Porkers and this is only the second fault and a trivial one at that. The previous fault was a dodgy stereo which they replaced with no hassle.

Weird, I've done c11K sensible miles and I haven't noticed any significant wear.
Think I might check them tonight though
