I don't know where everyone buys oil for topping up their cars, but I normally just get the OPC to put a litre in the boot whenever the car is in for work. Normally costs about £12.50 for litre.

Just been to some members shopping warehouse place called "costco" and bought 4 litres for about £23.50p. By my reckoning this makes the stuff roughly half price and could make a worthwhile saving especially to those that do unscheduled oil changes on top of their normal OPC servicing schedule.

Go to OpieOils.co.uk and register with your Pistonheads name for a discount. Far cheaper when buying in bulk.

I buy 15/50 and 0-40 mobil 1 for just £3 per 0.95 litres. Unfortunately I cannot reveal my sources. I use 0-40 in winter, 15-50 for summer/track days.

I don't know how long this has been the case (as I have definitely never seen it before), but my local Halford Superstore is selling Mobil 1 15-50 for £37.99 for 4 litres.

Me neither. I got in as a guest as I don't fall into their acceptable customer categories. I do wish I had an acceptable job.

If you're doing a trip to France, forget the wine, spirits, parfum and fags - stock up on Mobil 1 instead....
