Pricing a 964?

hi all -
A few unfortunate circumstances have conspired against me of late which mean I may have to sell my much loved 964 C4. To say I'm gutted is an understatement.
now - other than it being a shite time of year to flog sportscars, what price does the Porsche PH massive think i should put it up at?
Detail as follows:
1989 LHD C4 (lighter flywheel as standard)
105,000 miles
Top end rebuilt at 88,000 by RSR
Recent-ish clutch
Cup 1's
4 x Bridgestone SO2 two months ago
Front end re-spray last month
imported from Switzerland in 1991 and every MOT since then
4 UK Owners (including me)
Huge history file with £20k+ in reciepts
sorry if this looks like an Ad - I just want to get some realistic opinions as to what price I should be asking. I know I'm going to take a hit, but just trying to guage how much of one..
I'll be bringing it along to VW next weekend

looking through the classifieds theres a fair old spread isnt there? 16-21k for RHD models (the latter figure seems very...er...optimistic for private/no warranty) but there is a nice looking one with 105k on the clock for just a tad under 11K. I would have thought privately I'd expect to see yours at 14K, 12K for a quick sale. Youve done lots of work, but this doenst add a whole lot to the price e.g the top end rebuild, most private punters would be expect to have seen this done by now anyway.

Thanks for the email Dom ... unfortunately, 2 days after I have bought a (granted a very very nice) 3.2 Carrera!
The reason I didn't shout it from the rooftops on Tuesday night is because I don't collect it until Saturday morning so don't want to tempt fate
As for a price guide, I was looking at a very nice 85k miler in Autotrader in amethyst purple, only thing was it has a purple interior aswell, and that was £12,999 so from my layman's experience over the last couple of months I would think for a normal colour with good history and fresh top end, £12,950 or £12,450 would be a reasonable starting point and you may get £12k.

Hmmm, I think that looks like a very decent buy for someone. My guess is that the total mileage and the fact it's LHD is putting people off it. Other possibility is that lots of people have looked at it and/or had it inspected and it has a 'story'.
There is a real phobia with mileage on a 964. Personally I don't see 964 values dropping much further so mileage becomes less of an issue. I paid £15K for a 150k miler 18 months ago and arguably it's in better mechanical shape than any other 964 I've seen having had two top end rebuilds and a bottom end and all of the major wear parts replaced recently. Yes the cosmetics could be better, but that is easy and relatively cheap to remedy over time (compared to major engine work). No doubt if I wanted to sell today the mileage would count against me, but if I was prepared to go in with an open mind and buy a high miler, presumably there are others out there ???????

I am buying a 964 this weekend, I saw yours for sale. Everything looks good (History etc)
The only two things for me were the color (I wanted a dark colored car so no red or white for me!) and the C4, i'm going for a C2!!
Everything else on the car is good, i'm sure the car will sell by the summer! (if that helps)
