Does anyone know what a teddy bear gasket is? and is it risky changing the bulb behind the ammeter on a 924S?

For all things 924, try the 924.ORG forum. www.924board.org/ The guy's there have a wealth of knowledge on these cars. You might find answers a bit hard to come by here.

Send me a PM if you like. Given your location, you're not far from my OPC tech who undertakes some private work. He's got a 924S with around 148k miles - and it runs so tight and sweet its unreal - keep asking him what the hec he's done to it!
