Weighed my GT3 on a digital weighbridge. Came in 10 kg UNDER the DIN spec.

It weighed 1340 kg without driver, with about 10 litres of fuel in it.

Thanks for sharing that - I am a bit of a sad anorak with these weights, but like to see how cars compare to quoted spec.
The 3 MK1 GT3s which Sport Auto tested came in at 1390-1395kg which I think is with full tank of fuel (Porsche quoted DIN 1350kg is with 90% full tank) so you are right on the test weights if you add in the other 50litres and once again Porsche's homolgation car is lighter than the production models.

I posted it because I remembered your post of a week or so ago. Thought you may want the data.

Re: whther Porsche misquotes weights or not - I still find the car goes like a scolded cat, so I'm happy!

Does the car have a cage - and/or buckets?

Cheers

Thought I would do the same with the 993 GT2 road car.
Devoid of spare wheel and tool kit, but full to the brim with Shell's finest, it hit the weighbridge at 1290kg on the dot.And the manual says......1290kg. What more/less could we expect from German precision?
Trevors, take a leaf or two out of Stuttgart's book.

I had my 993TT corner weighted the other week and it came in at (with full 90% tank, tools, spare etc) at 1448Kg
The only thing I've done is change the seats and worn the pads and disks down to the minimum.

When my 993tt was done for geometry/corner weights with a brimmed 92 litre tank, the total weight came in at 1505 kg the fat porker! Suppose that I still have the lazy full electric seats too. The car needs a diet.

Hi JM

You may have heard my GT3 this morning - drove past your place a couple of times on child collection duties.

We'll have to meet up once the weather improves.

You've already been spotted by the other half on the school run.Even to the uninitiated female ear, she said 'It sounded wonderful!'
No doubt we'll meet up very soon!
