Cayman S - at what cost?

I love the Cayman in fact it would be the only car in Porsche’s current line up (inc the future 997TT) that I would like, but it stumbles on price
When they hit £35k 2nd hand with goodies I’ll be picking one up or if they bring out a full fat version a la GT3 or supercharged.
I think we might see a price 're-alignment' when they introduce the non S version. Because it doesn’t appear to be selling all that well

I think that's quite reassuring. If it was supplied at £45K then it would be little more than base spec so not the most desirable spec car to sell on. And frankly, who in their right mind sells a new car one month after they buy it? Sell it 3 months on and you'd probably make almost as much thereby reducing the daily depreciation figure by a huge amount.
As said, considering the tax element and the fact that a dealer is not a charity and will have to prepare the car and make a profit I think the offer was more than reasonable.

That's why I am interested in finding out why the car was sold back so quickly. Anyone buying a brand new car and keeping it for only a month is committing financial suicide. The story here is not the offer from the OPC it's the reason it went back to quickly.
