We have just put our 1999 Boxster on the RR, does anyone know what the engine output should be as standard, as we have put the Aero kit Sports Exaust on it and the BHP is now 194.5bhp, and 171lb/ft torque, the only engine data we can find is 204bhp & 181lb/ft we think this is the 'S' data. can anyone advise? is there any small tweaks we can do to get it over 200?

Is this the 'at the wheels' output? I thought the Boxster had about 240BHP at the flywheel.

Rolling roads are not generally calibrated to each other, so pinch of salt except when comparing before after on same RR and with identical atmospheric conditions.

Anyway, you dont say if your 194 hp is an estimated at crankshaft figure or actual at the wheels.
The model year 99 2.5 litre gave 204 hp at crankshaft or around 170hp at the wheels.

Bad news for you is that changing the exhaust and nothing else wont increase power, likely to reduce it, since Porsche are rather good at these things.
You need to look at a freeflow inlet and the ECU.

There is a lot of experience of tuning mods in the US, for example Rober said "I went TTP ECU and Headers and I built my own intake. I gained 30 to 35 HP (Dyno Verified) with the stock Muffler."

Still, yours probably sounds more powerful.

it was approx 150bhp at the wheels and 194.5 at the flywheel, the thing we have noticed is the torque is lower than spec but it is now a very flat curve with only a slight peak. it is very noticable in the way it drives power all the way but it is a bit worrying about the loss of so much power

Are you running it on a premium fuel such as Optimax, or just regular 95RON unleaded? A lower octane fuel will produce less power than Optimax would, provided that the engine can take advantage of the higher octane by optimizing the ignition timing accordingly.
