I've been going 2 or 3 times a year, for the last 10 years and last august was my worst Ring experience. 20 mins of queuing just to get off the track . Easter will be much of the same because of the limited opening times over the first half of the year.
I think it's either got to be off peak weekends or track days.
It's sad to say but i think magazines and Top Gear have over exposed the place and it's now attracting the max power types who are clogging up the car park with their Subaru Rally jackets and puma driving trainers
The best weekend we had last year was late Nov. Relatively quiet, mostly dry, plenty of track time.

Captain Kaos, I was there 5 times last year, August was a disaster! Good craic at easter tho'! I know what you mean about topgear itis, when I went for the first time nine years ago it was very quiet. I just need to get back asap, suffering from withdrawl!! Cant wait to try out GT3!

That is a very fast BTG time. Have you done loads of laps or trackdays there?

Yeah, I will be over three or four times this year. Normally stay with Bren at Sliders Guest House - he does 1000 laps a year on his jahreskarte so passenger laps are good fun. The GT3 will be good around there... ideal car for it really. You on the ringers list?

Cheers
Dom

IIRC the BMW test drivers/Sport Auto guys were only just doing sub 8's. Very impressive if on standard tyres as well. No doubt you'll be the car to follow at Easter!! (assuming it's not snowing!). Dom - are you over at Easter?

PS anyone know of ANY spare places in a hotel/pension, etc? thks
