On thursday morning I picked up my new car!!!!!

'93 LHD 964 C2. 72k miles - Mint condition

Few mods - G pipe (See thread in GG!), swiss cheese, dropped 30mm, Ruf front splitter, Ruf speedlines, Remap at 9M - (319bhp on monday!!!! - 301 corrected - whatever that means!)

What do you think? I'm very happy so far!!!!!!

Now how do I change my username?

Thanks to everyone on this forum who helped me with this car and Porsche in general!

944tom, nice car, nice wheels, did you buy it privately ? 319hp with a remap ? can't be a standard engine then.

Thanks for the replies - Its exactly the car I was looking for! I did not think it was worth the 4-5k just to sit on the right side of the car!

The "T" plate is an odd one.

The car was imported in 1999, and what I think happened is the DVLA ticked the box that said new when imported. Hence getting a 99 plate "T".

I phoned the DVLA up and they said its OK but it should be on a 94 plate????? -They said "M" which seems wrong also! This is odd as the year code on the Vin is "P" which I believe makes it a '93 car. can someone verify this?

PS - the rest of the photos are here - www.ifyourmotheronlyknew.co.uk/gallery/Toms-964

Thanks

- Corrected it came out at 301bhp

It must have been very cold and damp!!!!!

That is a 6 % difference - I thought that cold air helped performance - but I did not think by that amount!

Yes - from a nice chap from Wigan - from the PH ads

Nice Wheels

Mmmmmmmmm Ruf - 10" and 8.5" - I think the rear tyres are streched a bit - Euro stylie!!!
Rear has 265/35ZR18 - should it have bigger tyres on 10" wheels????

Thanks

The seller has removed the ad now...........

265s are stretched - Is that bad/good?: -

It sounds great - But check my thread in GG - The neighbours don't like it!

Bergs - From your ad, your car seems to be a very good example, if you like C4 and red!!!!

Tom, 993 RS rear wheels are 10" with 265's they're fine
Can't beleive I missed your car, it's just what I was looking for, when was it advertised ?
I've just bought a RHD 77,000 miler in Guards red..... lovely car but I really wanted a dark metallic colour, I've now found out I don't like the RHD driving position , (if you decide to sell let me know)

No, it Amazon Green. A dark metallic green with a hint of dark blue. Very nice - Classy but different. You can't see the true colour in these photos, when the sun comes out I'll take some more photos..........

Either you misunderstand the post or you are being funny?

It WAS remapped at 9M about 12 months ago. The rolling road was done last Monday! ~ 319 Bhp (301 corrected - I have the printout which reads 319!!!!)

Or do I need more power? It seems enough for me at the moment, my last car was a 944 S2 - 210 Bhp - maybe a bit less!!! 100bhp more is fine for now..................for now..............

It was on before Christmas for a bit more than I paid, the the seller reduced the price in January.

Is the RHD position worse then?

Thats two people who want to buy it (the seller being one.....)

It is definatley a 1993 build if it has got the "P" prefix in the VIN acording to the Bentley book.
