If it's not the RMS?
Discussion
Where else could oil be coming from. I've just been under my 996 C4 tip trying to track down where the oil is coming from as she loses a couple of drips per day. There's a drop from the gearbox/crankcase joint, but I think it's run down from somewhere above. I can't see much as I haven't got ramps, but the oil appears to be coming from above the NS cylinder bank towards the front of the car. What's up there, is there an oil feed pipe?
I just don't think this is from the RMS as there is oil above the cylinders by the looks of it. Haven't been able to Google up a good image above the cylinders as yet.

She's well out of warranty now. I've just booked her in for service so I'll get them to look a it then. Just curious as I can almost see where it's coming from, but even my best gynaechologist skills can't trace exactly where the source is. Can't find an image or a diagram to see exactly what's buried up there.
