My friend wants to buy budjet boxter!!!!

Errrr, well it will cost less, but be worth less at resale time and possibly be harder to sell.
Tell him to get the newest he can afford, with leather, in a sensible colour.
Big wheels aren't liked by some buyers, and are an easy add on, so don't worry about them.
I also wouldn't bother with air con as the roof comes off, but some like it, especially for the demisting capabilities. And as for PSM, that does no harm at all.

An interesting one this. The usual argument is that if you spec the car up it will sell more easily when you do decide to let it go and you will get more for it.My own view is that if you spec it up with things you generally don't want or need you will pay more initially and never regain what you "invested". Granted it may sell quicker but then again with your lower spec car you may be able to sell at a lower price and tempt buyers that way. You certainly won't lose as much as a person who spends ££££ on toys and finds that they are worth £££ come resale time. Hopefully you are buying because you like the way it drives and all Porsches come with all the equipment required as standard for that!

I'm about to put my order in for a new 2.7 Boxster. The sales guy said that the following are required for easy resale and to maintain value :
Bigger wheels than 16", he said go for 17" not 18" as extra cash can be better spent elsewhere.
Air Con
Wind Deflector
No need to go for full leather as the Alcantara and leatherette is sufficient.
Spec I am going for is :
Boxster 2.7 in Silver
17" wheels
Air Con
Sound Pack
CD Storage
CD Changer
Wind Deflector
Computer.

He would say that wouldn't he ?
If you get 3-4K worth of bits & bobs added to the car,
in a couple of years time, they will be worth
something like 500 - 1000 quid.
Why bother ?
You would be still in the position fo selling a Porsche,
whether it's got a few bits & bobs on it or not.
Get extra bits in you need them, not to tweek
resale values.

People who just want to pose..People who cant drive fast..OK i cant spell, but at least I can drive....GET A LIFE>>>BORRING OLD MEN

I really hope that many of the extremely talented porsche drivers out there get to reply to this. What evidence do you base your theory of porsche owners on anyway? Are you really as stupid as you seem?
I honestly dont care what you think about porsches, but you have no right to voice your opinion in an offencive manor to people in a porsche forum.
For your sake, I hope your post gets binned before anyone else has to read it.

What is so hard about respecting others choices of cars??

Edited to cover over dredge3's personal insult to a member of this forum.
