On the lookout for a 996 Turbo S & the OPC network only has 7 (& only 3 in coupe)
Can't seem to find any at specialists. Thought the made a fair few so I wonder where they all are ?
If anyone knows of one for sale at a specialist in the south please let me know !

Its price seems too close to a 997tt for me. Then again, you could have this one now

at current prices these cars will take the award of fastest depreciating Porsche IMHO

just find a 2 year old X50 for £65k, just lacks the PCCB and nasty chrome wheels

The wheels aren't chrome, just painted GT Silver Metallic, just a bit darker than the normal ones.

I stand corrected - either way not as nice as pure alloy

re. the ad, good god - I do hope it is just the photo that makes those techno wheels look red inside

Guy round the corner from me has a black one, his wife has a black one (cab) and as a car together they now have the new M6. I'd hate to know how much he's lost on them already....

repulsive aren't they! all red woul dbe pretty horrible but better than just the inner faces

confusing as the ad claims a Porsche opiton code of body-coloured wheels but they don't look like Porsche wheels to me

Buy it and you'll say bye, bye to £30K in a year I'd say.

i met someone with a turboS on the weekend, loves it, although it does sit in a stable alongside a CarreraGT, an Enzo, a Maserati MC12 & a few other even rarer bits, top fellow too!

Fairly sure I saw this last weekend on the Westway and into Shepherd's Bush. Very young chap driving. Politely told me at the lights that my bonnet was open, which it was. Was driving like my nan, which I suppose you would do if your car looked like that. Oh, and its not guard red but more like a shocking pink/red colour (puce?).

The standard ones are painted too, just in a slightly lighter colour. I went from an X50 to an S and to be honest you’d be hard-pushed to tell the difference in the wheels.

I also read on the Rennlist forum that the S has the slightly updated PCCB from the 997 but I don’t know if this is true. Personally I think they are great on a road car (I have a GT3 RS for track) definitely better over rough surfaces due to weight, no rust and very little dust.
