Hi all,

I'm a little confused, on my 944 i've got Porsche Cup 1 wheels, 17" jobs..

On the rear i've got 255/40/17 's and on the front 215/50/17 's... I understood that the middle group was the wall depth.. so does this mean i'm running wheels with different circumferences?

Doesn't sound right.. or is this just how it is? Should i be looking for different profiles on the new set

Your front tyre size appears to be wrong. Too tall.
I'm sure on my S2 fronts were 225/45/17 or you could have 205/50/17/
Have a look at this calculator to help you visualize the difference.
Your right the middle No. is a percentage of the tyre width to give the side wall height

No,

they are perfectly ok.

If you use the tyre size calculator you posted a link to that will say so too. There is nothing wrong with your tyre sizes, and I should know.

They are mine too.

Sounds like you have the 911 Cup wheels rather than the correct 968 cup wheels. Im guessing that your fronts are a 6J ?? if they are then yes the 215/50 sounds about right.
