944 Fuel Gauges

Are all 944 fuels gauges erratic? I can never accurately measure my 944's fuel because the needle is never in the same place for more than 2 minutes!

I mentioned this to Andrew at Promax (very helpful) who said this was due to the earthing wire going pop.

Anyone else got this problem? Quick cure?

My old Lux (early dash model) fuel gauge was all over the shop, but the S2 is fine with no crazy swinging back & forth,I'm assuming the turbo and S2 are the same- so it probably is down to a bad earth

Mine shows a low reading on start up, then goes higher after a short run. Probably thinking about it

ive run out of fuel twice when 1/4 full i allways set my trip now

Yeah, I don't take chances either. Really annoying glitch...

Drove a 'normal' car the other day after only using the 944... the other car felt light, like a toy!
