b+b (Buchmann) Porsche Modifiers?
Discussion
I was playing around in their workshops when I was a lad. I used to visit school with the younger Buchmann, and my father had some business ties with the senior Buchmann.
I remember that most of the Porsches and Mercs were nacre metallic and had a dark blue Alcantara interieur with rainbow-coloured strips in the center. Most impressive car was the CW311, but this is a one-off. There's been a 928 with T-top and a cabriolet and various shades of modifications to 911. I remember one having a smoke discharger, 007-stylee
Many cars were sold to sheiks, especially the Merc SEC 'Magic Tops', convertibles with foldable hardtops. There were some VWs too, a Polo with digital speedo being the most popular.
There are not many traces left from BB, it's also not easy to find information on the net, other than the odd picture.
I've found a _very_ comprehensive thread on bb on a German forum. You need to register to that forum to view the attached pictures to that thread, however, the entire press map with lots of cars can be seen
