I assume you're a frequent visitor here, as the car is for sale in the classifieds, so I just wanted you to know how much your car cheered me up this morning. Drizzle. Cold. Busy London stop start nonsense. And then a bright red vision of Stuttgart's finest, all RSR spoilers and big shiny alloys. I smiled all the way to work.

Sorry missed this thread... yes that was me. Thanks for the compliment.

I was actually on the way to JZM for an inspection on the car - which it passed with flying colours and it was sold that day. Anyone who thought about my car/was looking for a goodun missed out, to quote JZM in their discussions with the now new owner "It's a good one... you don't often find them in this condition... it's had some serious money spent on it" - www.potatotrader.com/911.htm

Loved the RS, but I've got new plans for this year and have just bought this - www.potatotrader.com/exige.htm

Holy crap Tom, that thing will be worse over speed bumps than a 993 RS!!

Is it road legal? What power has it got? Does it have a supercharger?

heheh... Hi John, no it's not road legal, it's going to have it's own trailer and live at a certain BMW motorsport garage

Planning on doing plenty of track work this year so I hope I'll see you around. The car was built no expense spared by CadenaGTC - www.lotussportcadena.com/ with the development and setup done by Gavan Kershaw himself. The car did the last race of the season at Oulton Park in the AMOC mid engined sports car series and chalked up pole and a subsequent race win. www.midenginedsportscars.com/

I'm thinking about doing the AMOC mid engine series next season... maybe

Currently shopping for a 4x4 to tow with as the trailer that came with the car was a little out of my league (over £100k for just the trailer!!)

Sounds very interesting! I'd like a pop at racing. Maybe start with sprinting etc. Would be a laugh to race in the Porsche Open though!

The Exige looks mad. I'd love a look round it some time. Congratulations.

Thank you gents... it was ironic that the gent who bought the car phoned up just a day before my track day at Silverstone and paid a deposit. Tempted though I was I agreed I wouldn't track the car if he showed me the colour of his money.

Financially this car makes more sense if I'm going to do lots of track days.

Anyhow, if you see my car at a track day, please come over and say hello.

Yeh, I can vouch for that comment....................................
Sorry it was "too nice" to track Tom, I hope the Lotus is as enjoyable as the E30 was.
