New GT3
380bhp for 2003 GT3
Discussion
Thanks CS, I had a read. As great as the new car looks it has really just got me thinking about how much I want an "old" GT3. I'm guessing it will be 18 months+ before the value of old GT3s will be impacted significantly by s/hand availability of new ones? Anyone got any views on where the old cars' prices might settle?
I need to start planning ahead!

This GT3 looks like it will be well received as the general benefits of the facelift 996 & the 381 bhp are all a factor that may make older GT3 owners step up to the plate.
Currently as far as I can tell rhd GT3 with sensible miles go for approx £67k where as the lhd equivalent is £10k less, these prices assume it is not done the whole 10k miles on trackdays.
If you compare 993RS rhd seem to go for early 50's as in £52k ish with lhd either side of £40k.(rhd are much more rare).
Although the GT3 is a different car to the 993 RS to make a direct comparison, assuming the UK rhd GT3 will be close to or out of 3 year warranty I would expect to see some correction on prices maybe late £50's - early £60s for rhd.
Of course initial depreciation of the old cars may be slight as despite the £75k asking price, you just know that they will be trading on a scarcity premium for a while!
As much as anything the prices will be dependent on the economy & house prices in the next year.
As a 996 driver if prices do go down I will be jumping into a rhd 993 RS unless I just can't wait that long.
