P Zero's & Assymetrico's, whats the difference?

What's the difference.
Which is better wet/dry.

Can you/should you mix ie front/back.

How much would you erxpect to get them for?

Asymmetricos are, as the name suggests, asymmetric.

Why are you interested in them? you won't find many people on here saying good things about them for Porkers, me included. I'll be putting Michelin Pilot Sports on when it's changeover time.

I'm really trying to establish the handling charecteristic differences as i obtained a set of new rears quite cheaply which I'm thinking of putting on, as the pzero's are due for a change.

However i also need to change the fronts and don't know what to pair them up with.

Or are you saying i've been had like a kipper and should donate them to the local farmer to keep the plastic sheeting secured?

The car get's driven 95% of the time in the dry.

You mean you've got hold of a new set of rear Asymmetricos? If so then just buy two front Asymmetricos (with the same "N" rating number, e.g., N1, N2) and stick them on.

Assis are stickier than Rossos in the dry.

Rossos are marginally better than the Assis in the wet.

Rossos are more comfortable.

Assis give better turn-in.

In short, Assis are the marginally higher dry weather performance tyre over Rossos. But these things are relative... the Rossos are pretty near the top of the food chain already when it comes to "high performance tyres"...

I have Rosso Asymetricos all round.

Are you confusing Asymetrico with Corsa?

Pirelli recommend either Asym all round or Asym rears and Directionale fronts.

Outstanding tyres, a real joy to 'press on' with. Incredible grip and when you finally exceed the grip level, very progressive in the slide. Recommended, wet or dry.

N Numbers should DEFINITELY match

After extensive research I found a manufacturer who said having a difference of one unit of 'n' rating between axles shouldn't make a difference .. just don't mix the same axles apparently.I've got n1's on the rear , with n2's up front .. haven't swapped ends ...yet .. but then .. I do drive like my granny.

The Rossos are different from the [System] Assymetricos. "Rosso Assymetricos" are commonly referred to as just "Rossos". The differences:

and

Assis = www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Pirelli&tireModel=PZero+System+Asimmetrico

It's common for people to run Assis all around instead of the Assi+Direczionale combo which is being phased out.
