993 turbo at Strasse

There's a 993 turbo for sale at Strasse, 1995, 46K miles, supposedly standard car, but with rsr spoilers, arena red, at #38995 (that's pounds, my keyboard's not cooperating). Sounds good value to me - do the lairy spoilers knock some value off?

What would be the first things to do to upgrade performance ie make it is hot as it looks (not that it's going to be boring in standard spec). Is there a recognised "chipper" as DMS seem to be for 996tts?

I've just popped an RS tuning stage 1 ecu in my car - absolute night and day difference in performance. You'll also be wanting to fit pss9's and gt3 seats.

That seems like a lot for a 95 car when there's a 98 for sale in the classified for £36K with fresh turbos and a new clutch (both potential maintenance items on a 993tt). Admittedly it's LHD but I personally feel there are more upsides than downsides to a LHD 993.

Why do you say that, Iggy ? I thought Alan did not have Motronic mapping capability ... is your comment in relation to someone else using the WM facility ??

Selling privately and lhd? 39K in rhd and from a dealer still sounds reasonable value against this, but interesting to know there are cheaper one's around.

Hard to know for sure - there isn't a lot of info on the Strasse site for that car (no mileage for instance), I assume the 98 LHD car is VerySideways's car, which is definitely very nice.

I also agree that LHD is a plus for a 993 rather than a negative.

Well I say WM as not only are they a decent bunch- other than that ratbag Fearns obviously but also coz as we both know not many folks used to touch 993Ts & some folks who should know better seem to make a horlicks of it when they try & the power made has been very unimprssive.

I know Alan has done a fair few 993Ts- inc the Earl of Boltons uber-beetle with 555bhp/600Lbft & still on Motronic.
