Depends on your relationship with the dealer.
I'm a fan of the Porsche line, but I have to say, that with the whole retro styling of the 997, this new turbo looks like it finally swallowed the bumper of the 3.2 carrera.

The official launch of the Turbo is 24 June in the UK.
Yesterday was an important day with the Turbo in the UK, because:
- With some dealers it was the final day that deposits had to be topped to £10k (Porsche GB owned dealers?)
- With other dealers it was the first day that deposits could be topped up to £10k (independent dealers?)
- All deposit holders were sent a nice little photo frame with photos of the new Turbo in Arctic Silver. I got 3 for some reason.

I recieved the photo(yesterday) and calls from my dealer in the past few weeks telling me about it. I told them i would deposit the money but i havent had the order form which he said they would send me before taking the money. I havent heard anything since. Just left a message with him to call me back.

Mr Roo......sorry for semi thread hi jack....but last week you made a comment that the new Audi RS4 was not very good......you left it at that....please could you expand on that please as sadly I may well prefer one of these over a TT porker...cheers!
Hmmm... perhaps not very good was a little harsh. I think many are getting a little carried away over the RS4, that's all. It's better in many regards than I had expected. The steering feel is better, there's a bit more throttle adjustability, the interior is fantastic, the ride is good and the engine note is to die for but once again, the sum of the parts leave me looking at a shortfall. For most buyers, it'll be a great buy. Residual values look as if they'll hold firm for a while at least and it's a more dramatic car with a greater sense of occasion than any of its rivals. But what are these rivals? The BMW M3 and the Merc C55 AMG aren't really in the same bracket and the RS4 falls a little short of tackle like a 911 C2 as a driver's tool. It's cast a little adrift in the marketplace. Audi would call that a niche, I guess.
If you appreciate the finer points of car control, you'll still prefer an M3. Wait a year and the next generation M3 will probably deliver a crushing blow to RS4 residuals. As I mentioned in the other thread, the RS4 is an interesting addition, but I still think the sweetest 'sporting' A4 remains the 2.0T DTM. That's a car with far better balance than the RS4. I bet if you drove the same bit of road in both cars with a VBOX on board your mid corner speeds would be higher in the DTM. Braking down from hyperpsace velocities in the RS4 makes corner entry speed tricky to judge. It feels too point and squirty on typical British B-roads for me. Same reason why a Boxster S will feel more satisfying on a twisty lane than a 911 GT2.
