Door speakers

Hi all,

Currently looking for a 996. My brain is switching off when I see a car with pockets in the doors instead of speakers. Always screams "poverty spec" (but this is not always the case).

So, it is easy to upgrade, what are the costs, results etc?

Isn't the pockets in the door / speakers difference one of pre- and post-face-lift models rather than poverty spec?

No, you could spec door speakers at any time and there are post-facelifts with pockets. Speakers became standard at some point (I think)
