Hey guys,

What options would you choose for the 997 GT3?? Would you choose white as exterior colour (really starting to grow on me)?? Doesn't seem to be possible to order the carbon trim untill late July production. When looking at pics it seem like you can have alcantara as well, anyone know?
Thanks!

I am so tempted by white it is unbelievable. I will paint the wheels black though if I do go for that option.

What I am interested in is what the normal GT3 seats look like as all interior shots show the gorgeous but bloody expensive race ones.

I think the Sat-Nav, Sunroof and Heated Seats are essential!

Do you know why I love the internet? There is always someone out there who can help. Cheers

I asked the Porsche guys today as I was at the Porsche Test drive experience and they didn't have a clue.

Just saw this, glad to help!

Are you thinking about buying one?

I am very tempted

Whether I need it though is another thing. On the road it won't be any faster than my 997S and I would probably only take it on track rarely as I prefer bike trackdays for my kicks.

Still tempted though

..you have to spend £700 on Bi-Xenon's on a £80k car *gulp*

Is it just me or are Porsche taking this p*ss a little?

10K down (as far as I am aware way above the deposit on a 997S) then you have to add extras like bi-xenons as noted above, the UK spec forces you to have the tracker, and from what I gather you have to buy the buckets which are an essential part of a GT3? I have sports seats in my Boxster S I want something better as standard in a GT3.

Think I might go for a minimal spec 997 carrera.

You are not wrong. Bi-xenons as an option is disgraceful and the seats as you rightly say really do need to be bucket style. Porsche are definitely not making friends with their customers at the moment.

It's going to be a great car I think!

Regarding the options, I agree with you guys but most high-end manufacturers do they same. Let's not mention Ferrari for example.....

Sat nav and heated seats in a GT3?? Suggest you may be more suited to a 997 Turbo.

Just specced the 997 GT3 to the same spec as my 996 GT3 MKII CS and it came out at £86K compared to £75K when mine was new. £11K or nearly 15% seem a bit of a hike IMHO!!

I speced it to app. £89 on Porsches site, that's without PCCB.

Just added CS Spec, Xenons, Full Leather On dash and doors and a few other fits like on my MKII and its £86K. Basic CS spec is £82,670.
