oh poo. the nice people at dension told me i needed to reset my ice link but disconnecting my stereo-gram, but now that Ive done that my car wants a code to unlock the stereo again.
Ive phoned Porsche surrey (the number was in my phone) but they say ill have to go to my nearest OPC (2 hours away) and pay for the ecu to be read. anyone else know how i could find out?
thanks in advance gang.
ps. it also didn't solve my problem with my ice link so I'm about to have a good old fashioned killing spree at dension.

i dont have it
Stop whimpering man, at least it earned you a :rofl;
Are you beating BR on the board yet ?
Small lesson learned here, always make sure you have the security code doc for ice equipment when buying a second-hand motor. They are often mislaid by original owner as they don't realise what it is
See this prob time & again Looks as if the killing fields of dension is about to start
And a good blat to a porsche dealer
I just had to do this with a mates Boxster - my local OPC said they could possibly get the number from the Porsche computer by giving them the VIN number, but apparently the car was too old and not listed (98). If you can get the stereo out,(fairly staightforward) then you can get the (Becker I think) code from the unit. You should then be able to go to most Audio places and pay around £10-20 for them to get the code. Try these people www.unlockcarradios.co.uk

Apologies for being such a c%*t, will read more closely next time...at least he may get the message

*sigh*
just spoke to another OPC, much nicer people, and we tried the code he could obtain via my chassis number, and it didnt work. which means my stereo must have been replaced at some point. which means i either to take it off the stereo as one of you kind folk suggested or driver to the nearest OPC.
