Servicing maintenace Boxster

Hi, know they need to be serviced yearly or 12,000 whatever comes first, but on average what lifespan do things new renewed? brakes, clutches, belts, does it get to a certain mileage when things generally need replaced, Realsie all cars are driven differently. thanks

hi

clutches are very driver specific...if the pedal is fairly hard to push it showing signs that the clutch pressure plate is getting tired...so get some use and you will be able to see if it gets worse if so get a new 1 fitted and check the rear maiin oil seal is ok.

auxillary drive belt replacement time is 48000 miles or i think 4 years..
plugs have different replacement times depending on year of car think below 2001 its every 24k and after 2001 its 36k.
pollen filter every 12k.

Pads and Discs lasted 20,000 miles and fifteen track days. Car has a very easy life on the road - so it was the track days that really wore 'em out.

Pretty fair I'd say. Replacement cost can be quite expensive if you need all four doing, all eight pads, the necessary shims and sensors etc.

If you put £1.5K by each year to contribute to discs/pads/tyres/servicing you should be OK. Budget an extra £725 if you want to maintain a warranty in case anything expensive breaks.

Running costs not too dreadful really.
