having recently made huge savings on an imported merc from holland, i was wondering if the same could be made for a 996. does anyone know if prices are pretty much the same as in the uk, or if indeed there are savings to be had out there? any comments/info would be much appreciated

There are savings to be made...I saved about £7k on my 996 earlier in the year,you tend to find the extras are 10-15% cheaper than UK dealer prices,which is why most dealer imported cars offered at list,are loaded.
The main thing with importing is the value of the £ vs the Euro....which after the Euros improvemrnt in the last few months is not a help right now..
