Hi guys
Can anyone give me some advice on intermittent poor starting with my 86 951....?
Sometimes, first start of the day, it churns over and over on the key (making me think it's not going to fire)...then when it fires, it just chugs really heavily, no smoothness at all....
Once on the road and restating later in the day it's superb! It's kept garaged as well.
Really perplexed - I'd love to hear any ideas from yuo experienced guys here!
Cheers
Tony.

Hi there
I have a 944S and it was the same, gradually getting worse. I replaced the DME relay (£25 from an independant, it's the slim tall one in the fuse box) and the dizzy cap (£55 porsche) and the problem's solved. I think the DME is the first port of call.
