hollow spokes?

does anyone know of anyone who sells 18' hollow spoke alloys? or indeed does anyone have any for sale? i want to upgrade my 17's and apparently i have to get hollow ones as my 993 2S can't handle standard ones?

Jasmine occasionally have a set, or they sometimes come up in Porsche Post ...

Hollow spokes are definitely to be preferred, in ET40 rears of course !

PP = PCGB Club magazine ... ET40 is offset for wide body rears ... stamped on rim !!

Hmm 993 C4s standards aren't hollow spoke - they look like tt ones but they are not. Suprised you can't fit them to a 993 C2S

apparently they can't take weight of solid wheels. as the suspension isn't the same as the 4S; is anyone currently running solid 18's on either a carrera 2 or 2S? nd have they had any probs with it?

and if they fit I assume everything is the same as for the solids - i.e. tyres, size etc?

Where did you get this one ??

Its absolute rubbish, but the solid wheels are 30% heavier ... so preferred for unsprung weight reasons, as they would be on a 4S ...

I have a set of 18" Turbos (hollow spoke) for a 993 - they're 993TT wheels. They also have Bridgestones on them. Excellent condition bar a few minor marks - I was going to have them reconditioned at Jasmine (but most folks wouldn't think they merited it) and then sell them...
They are identical to the wheels I now have on my 993C4S - also refurbed by Jasmine - they did an amazing job.

I can take some closeup pictures if you like. Price? Not sure - I don't know what the going rate is - not cheap though - I paid £800 for my second set from Ebay (they were actually sold by the chap that owns GMund) and then had them refurbished at £90+VAT a wheel @ Jasmine.

Andy - if you have the standard susp on your C2S - you be better off spending your dosh on replacing that before getting new wheels (imho of course, but what do I know?)
