Road tyres for GT3
Discussion
Looking to get replacement tyres for the GT3. I want something stickier than the Rossos which I am not happy with, but I am hesitant to go Corsas all round because of
a) wet weather/road usability (only planning on 6-7 trackdays this year)
b) price (at least £1k a set)
Sizes: 225/40-18 and 285/30-18
I've narrowed it down to:
Bridgestone S02-A
PZero Assimetricos
What do you lot think about the two options above? Or should I just go Corsa... (I was looking for the Corsa Assimetricos, but they don't make them in the 225/285 sizes...

)Could get the corsa systems that are OEM on the RS. The rears are one type, the fronts the other (which might explain the lack of corsa asymmetrico in front sizes if thats what you were looking for).
They aren't all that great in the cold/wet though. Better in those conditions than the other proper R rated jobs though.
Corsa System are a mix of directional and asymmetrical, the fronts have a tread pattern that disperses water so the rears have a clear path, these are one of the OEM fits on a GT3RS and I'd have to say they are a great tyre for all conditions. I run these on my C4S.
Corsa System are available in the next size up (235 and 295) you could always try that?

I'm tempted to do the size upgrade... will they fit 7.5/10" rims? I know the Mk2/RS came with rims an inch wider at both ends...

Hi, I have the Corsa R's fitted to my GT3. Has anyone here had any experience of these in the wet? I was previously using Dunlop SSR's which were pretty good in wet/icy conditions but they went out of production.

Assuming you mean the race version rather than the systems? Seem ok if you can get some heat into them, but not so good in standing water.
