03 996 C4 - Thatcham Cat 1?

Hi all,

I'm just trying to get insurance sorted on an 03 996 C4 and I have been asked the question as to whether the car has a Thatcham cat 1 alarm/immobiliser fitted.

Does anyone know if it does already or will I have to get one fitted?

If it's UK spec (C16 on the under front lid sticker) then yes.

If they demand more proof see www.thatcham.org/security/pdfs/compliance.pdf Note the "Note to Insurers" on the top of page 7; the C16 indicates your car is UK spec.
