964 RS with softer suspension?!?!?

I love everything about the RS except the spine-crushing ride. What options if any exist to remedy this eg adjustable dampers.

The idea of adjustable dampers sounds great eg one setting for road use, a couple of clicks for track setting. I'm sure it isn't that simple though.

I've heard you can fit 993RS front shocks to help.

You could also try KW suspension, they have a full kit for the RS the shocks are two way ajustable.They are very well made and are also the choice of Manthey I beleive.

Or you can have the original Bilsteins re-valved (but for what it costs, I 'd go the 993RS front strut route)

You can only have the rear RS bilsteins revalved. The fronts are twin tube and cannot be rebuilt. Bilstein HD's on the other hand can as they are single tube inverted and similar to what Porsche used on the cup car.

Give Ninemeister a call. I mentioned to Colin that I had rejected the idea of a 964 RS because of its hard ride and he showed me their KW kit for the 964 giving a softer ride and adjustable ride height. Its about £1500 plus fitting from memory

I have just fitted the full KW kit from KW. I am still in the set up / shakedown stage with them and have yet to put them on track. I have covered only a few miles on them. First initial impressions is of more compliance rather than any "softening" if that makes sense. It's going to take me a while to fully understand and evaluate them.
