Manthey in Germany
Discussion
Was over at the ring Sun-Tuesday for a track day that was cancelled.
Anyway, to kill some time, took a drive over to Manthey, and started to look at the cars
in their reception.
Then the receptionist asked if we would like a look around the workshops etc.
Very friendly people, and a fantastic facility there, they are storing some very trick motors
for obvious ring enthusiasts, including a fabulous white 993 GT2.
Then the workshop manager came out and had a chat, and answered any questions we had.
Well worth a visit if you have time.

Went round there with Des and Shaun last year and had been previous to that. It's really impressive is'nt it. Jan Errin (i think ?) showed us round. Clinical, best describes the workshop and the race car is to die for. I wonder how many people they get turn up and take a look round. They were very friendly and most welcoming a lesson that many opc's could do with learning.
The previous time of visiting was for an ex freinds Btr when it had exhaust trouble. They managed to fit the car in and had it repaired within a day or two. Olaf is a nice chap who speaks good english....so i found out when trying my horrendous german when we first turned up their with the car "mein auspuff ist kaputten" to which Olaf replied "ah your english are'nt you".

at least they recogised customers/potential customers although i doubt they were flat out!
They are busy pretty much all the time - especially March to October - but I think they schedule in a fair amount of passing trade based on the propensity of Armco to leap out at local motorists
Don't even think about asking them to do any work on Scuderia Hanseat week
