School Boy Early 911 Turbo Questions

Evening all,
Just surfing this forum for a bit or advice from fellow Porsche enthusiasts/petrol heads. Currently own a 3L 1982 SC 911…love the car, but am tempted to the darkside & go the way of the 1988, 911, Turbo. Can anyone give advice on:
Roughly how much increased the running costs would e.g. is there an increase of the frequency of servicing, the cost of parts etc etc?
Longevity of the Turbo cars, are they as solid on higher milage as non-turbo cars?
Any other advice on a comparison in ownership between the two cars would be appreciated. Cheers guys (& any gals)
