I picked up a 996TT today. Very nice car. Could do with an exhaust and maybe a chip (any recommendations). Still a very quick for a car straight out of the factory! Will post some pics up soon(it's cobalt blue). Had 175 out of it so far on a private runway.

Yep, those runways are very useful

I hear Revo are okay for chipping, that is who Paragon use and a friend used DMS who were also excellent. AMD are fantastic as it's done on a rolling road and perfect but they are very expensive.

Enjoy! you just bought an excellent car!!

Get a GPS unit so you know exactly how fast you are going. My speedo over-reads by about 5/6mph at 100mph (on private land), not sure after that because I never go faster than that.....

My Road Angel Plus matches my digital readout all the way up to 151.....once I've got the runway swept of course

My turbo on standard alloys and tyres overreads by 4/5mph at 180/190 mph.

Congrats on the purchase. If you are going to drive it hard I recommend an alloy gearshift linkeage (details in my profile, aug/sept 2004).

Do give Ray at West Tuning a call, he's a real gent and a damn good spannerman.

www.west-tuning.com if my memory serves me correctly!

he is currently doing a 680/700bhp upgrade on a 996 Turbo and really knows his stuff. My car has just come back from Ray and it's soooo addicted to drive now it's just not even funny.
