"Porsche Fitment" Tyres?

I had a puncture in my Focus yesterday and the only tyres they had in my size and brand were "Porsche Fitment"

They didn't cost any more than regular tyres and the guy assured me the tread pattern was the same so is there actually any difference?

I would guess this was referring to the "N" rating scheme which is used to indicate that a particular tyre (make/model/size) has been approved by Porsche for use on Porsche cars. It wouldn't make them unsuitable for anything else.

Are you just putting one on to replace the punctured tyre ? If so I'd be a bit wary.
Unbeknown to me I had Audi "spec" Michelin Pilot Sports put on my BMW , whilst they improved the car in some ways it became clear when I went back to the correct BMW rated tyres 18 months later, just how much better the "correct" tyres were suited to the car.
The N rated tyres do use different sized and constructed carcasses so you may find a difference in width over a non N rated tyre of the supposed same size.
If you take the view that tyres are the round black things to stop your wheels from wearing away, I doubt you'll notice the difference

Mismatched tyres on the same axle is generally not a good idea.
