I specced up my car last week and was told I should get one of the first UK cars - probably a June or July build for delivery following month - has any one else on here been asked to spec up their car yet?

By the way , the OPC told me that out of 43 who were on their list for a car, only 13 had stumped up the £10k deposit.

I've put up the deposit, but am stalling on spec, but I wouldn't want the car before Sept 1 in any case. I really want to see a review of the transmission before I put in the spec.

UK dealers are off to Spain in May for the 'official' UK press launch - Porsche GB are expected to be making available approx half a dozen press cars in June to support various dealer demo days around the UK.

Waiting for the new plate, but since I'm currently in an F430 Spider, I thought I'd keep it for the summer And I really do want to see it reviewed before I spec transmission.

I don't know why you're rolling your eyes at the overboost feature. With only 480bhp those overtaking moments will be risky without that extra grunt.

What were Porsche thinking of?

Let me be honest - even without the sports chrono , overtaking is never going to be a problem - as it never has been with my current 996TT.

I chose the chrono option as (IMO) it will make resale easier when the time comes.

I had chrono on my tip but wouldnt have thought you would need it on the manual.

bund - I assume that you realise that the overboost comes with the sports chrono, which does sound quite fun?

Overboost is on manual as well as tip so its gotta be an essential option.

I will be going for the overboost - though have not had my request for spec yet. My TT is due back end of this year (or so they told me to relieve me of £10k ;-)), so might get the chance to see/drive a demonstrator just before speccing.
